The
purpose of an AED trainer (Automated External Defibrillator) Trainer is
to train a layman in the use and operation of an automated external
defibrillator. The AED trainer units guide users through simulated
analysis, energy delivery and prompted CPR intervals without the actual
charge and discharge of an electrical shock. Most AED trainers simulate
the full range of “real life” scenarios and are compatible with any CPR
manikin system that conforms to the American Heart Association
performance recommendations. The Standalone AED trainers can be used to
instruct students in the various operating modes of their Automated
External AED model, and in the use of an AED as part of a standard
rescue protocol. This makes it easy for anyone—from first responders to
untrained bystanders—to respond confidently and appropriately during an
emergency.
