LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator AED, is a portable electronic device that has a semi-automatic and an automatic models.  Both models automatically diagnose the potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation.  After the electrode pads are applied, the fully automatic model evaluates the heart rhythm and, if a shockable rhythm is detected, delivers a shock without any responder assistance.  The semiautomatic LIFEPAK CR PLUS model evaluates the heart rhythm but requires the responder to press the shock button if a shockable rhythm is detected.  Both models have voice instructions that guide the responder through the defibrillation process.

The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator has a highly visible shock button if the heart needs a shock.   It is that simple.  The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillators are designed for indoor and outdoor use. The semiautomatic model evaluates the heart rhythm but requires the responder to press the shock button if a shock-able rhythm is detected. The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus unit has voice instructions that guide the responder through the defibrillation process. The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator arrives with an installed CHARGE-PAK battery charger, one pre-connected QUIK-PAK™electrode packet, Operating Instructions for Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus and MEDTRONIC LIFEPAK CR PLUS Quick reference Card Guide. The location of MEDTRONIC LIFEPAK CR PLUS should take into account where large groups of people gather, regardless of age or activity. The defibrillator should be easy to reach. This could include a location near existing emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first-aid kits. Children as well as adults may fall victim to sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).  Therefore, your MEDTRONIC LIFEPAK CR PLUS should have Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus Infant/Child Reduced Energy Defibrillation Electrodes.  The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus will instruct the user to attach the Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus  Electrode pads to the patient.  But it is recommended that one must go through the Orientation Video For Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus and should have MEDTRONIC LIFEPAK CR PLUS Training using LIFEPAK CR trainer.  And as a backup, the storage place must have a spare Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus Electrode pads.  To safeguard the AED units, these should be placed inside the Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus cabinets.   The Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus prices vary by functionality.
