Cardiac Science Powerheart AED G3 Pediatric Electrode Pads 9730-002
Cardiac Science Powerheart AED Pediatric Pads:
Cardiac Science Pediatric Defibrillation Electrode Pads 9730-002 should be used when the patient is a child under 8 years of age or weighs less than 55 lbs. However, therapy should not be delayed to determine the patient’s exact age or weight. These reduced-energy child/pediatric defibrillation pads work with all 9200 and 9300 series AEDs, enabling rescuers to provide defibrillation therapy to children who are less than 8 years of age or who weigh less than 55 pounds.
Cardiac Science Pediatric Reduced Energy Defibrillation Electrodes are intended for use with only the following Cardiac Science Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs): Powerheart AED 9200 series, Powerheart AED G3 9300 series, and FirstSave AED 9300 series. These electrodes, when used with the AED, provide reduced defibrillation energy and are intended for use only on children or infants up to 8 years old, or up to 55 lbs (25 kg). If the child appears older or larger, use Cardiac Science adult defibrillation electrodes. Do not delay treatment to determine the child's exact age or weight.
Post-resuscitation, if the victim is breathing, the AED should be left attached to allow for acquisition and detection of the ECG rhythm. Detection of the ECG rhythm is important. If a shockable ventricular tachyarrhythmia recurs, the AED will charge automatically and advise the operator to deliver therapy.
