Welch Allyn Coaxial vision system facilitates opthalmoscopy by enabling easier entry into the eye, a larger field of view, and reduced glare compared to other standard options. .
This Coaxial Opthalmoscope is compatible with all existing Welch Allyn 3.5V power sources.
With the red-free filter, polarizing filter, and unfiltered Halogen HPX on a 3-position switch, each position can be easily engaged with each of the 6 positions of the aperture creating a total of 18 possible combinations:
- Micro-spot aperture allows quick entry into small, undilated pupils.
- Large aperture standard for dilated pupils and general eye examination.
- Slit for determining levels of lesions and tumors.
- Small aperture on undilated pupils provides excellent view of the fundus.
- Fixation aperture uses graduated cross-hairs to measure eccentric fixation or locating lesions.
- Red-free filter allows identification of veins, arteries, and nerve fibers by cutting out red rays from the examination field.
- Cobalt filter when used with fluorescein dye provides a visual of small lesions, abrasions, and foreign objects on the cornea.
Features:
